HEADACHES AND CHIROPRACTIC CARE
Headaches are not unusual! Many
Williamson headache sufferers get headache relief with
Williamson chiropractic care. One in 5 new
chiropractic patients visit to a chiropractor’s office like
Apple Country Chiropractic because of headache. Headache
patients comprise a large portion
of the chiropractic practice, and that’s true for Apple Country Chiropractic.
Chiropractors many times diagnose and participate in interdisciplinary care of headache patients
with other healthcare providers. (1) Spinal manipulation therapy (SMT) for
cervicogenic headache is reported to be quite helpful.
For the most benefit, a new study found that 18 SMT
visits compared with 1, 6, and 12 visits, is most
effective, decreasing cervicogenic headache days by half.
Compared with slight massage, SMT also brought
about three more cervicogenic headache-free days a month. (2)

TIP OF THE MONTH: Vitamin D for Reduced Migraines
It’s been offered
that the inflammation and a reduced immune system may play
a role in migraine headache. The role of nutrients – vitamin D, vitamin B12,
alpha lipoic acid, CoQ10, magnesium, niacin, riboflavin, and riboflavin - in
the supportive care of migraines is said to be therapeutic.
(3) A recent study reports that higher
levels of serum Vitamin D (50 to less than 100 ng/mL) lessens
the odds of suffering a migraine headache by 80% to 83% versus levels below 20 ng/mL. (4) Williamson migraine
sufferers may want to consider improving their
Vitamin D status in addition to their Williamson
chiropractic care plan.
